Sour Ales

After brewing, Madhouse sours go directly to oak barrels.  A spontaneous fermentation occurs with our house blend of yeast (including Brettanomyces) and lactobacillus.  The barrels are then blended and aged a minimum of 6 months up to several years.  Fruit/hop additions are made directly to the barrels before final blending and packaging.

 

 

Satori Saison- Tart and funky saison, 6.2% ABV.

Oak-Barrel Wild-Yeast Fermentation.

Complex aromas of lemon and spice.

Dry and crisp.

Hazy straw color.

 


 

A.M. Haze- Dry-Hopped Barrel-Aged Sour, 6.8% ABV.

Oak-Barrel Wild-Yeast Fermentation.

Sour and Funky.

Amarillo and Mosaic hops.

Bright citrus flavor and aroma.

 


 

Sour Diesel- Dark Barrel-Aged Sour, 7.4% ABV.

Oak-Barrel Wild-Yeast Fermentation.

Roasted malt and dark chocolate aromas.

Flavors of blackberry and sour cherry.

Dark black color.

 


 

Blue Dream- Blueberry Sour, 6.7% ABV.

Oak-Barrel Wild-Yeast Fermentation.

Funky aromas of berry and dark fruit.

Dry and tart.

Hazy purple color.

 


 

Galaxy Haze- Dry-Hopped Barrel-Aged sour, 6.7%
